I wonder if there will be more of Harry Potter, because we know
that he survived his encounter with Voldemort and he has to
live 50 or more years, so there is plenty of room for stories.

Will there be more of Harry Potter?

What more could she write about? Harry went to work in the Ministry,
married Ginny Weasly, had children, and lived a normal and uneventful
life. All the exictement happened in his school years. After his
life with the Dursleys and the battles with Voldermort, he deserves
some peace.

I'd like to say yes, someday there will be more adventures of Harry
Potter... but right now it appears that J.K. Rowling has had enough of
writing about Harry. From what I understand, Rowling is currently
writing another set of (non-Potter) children's books. While she may pen
the occasional bits of this and that about the HP universe, and she
eventually will be doing her HP encyclopedia, I think it'll be 5 or 10
years, at least, before we see any major new material set in the world
of Harry Potter.

I see 2 possibilities:

1) Let other writers use the "potterverse", under some sort of supervision.
2) While I remain open to persuasion, I think its possible that HP is JKR's
one hit. So, I see her writing other stuff, but it will never be the hit HP
was, and still is. Eventually she be "forced" back to the potterverse in one
way or another.

She's been living in Harry's world for more than 10 years and needs a
break. She's got other idea's and worlds she wants to explore. I
doubt there will be another Harry and friends at school book but I
wouldn't be surprised if there are some short stories or a book in the
Harry Potter universe. It'll be at least 2 years and probably a lot
longer before we'll see them.

What I'd like to see is some short stories that she could sell for
charity. A couple of short stories a year would give something to her
fans, not take up as much time as a novel would, raise a lot of money
for charity and help promote her other books.
